Marlon returns to Barcelona after Nice loan ends early

Nice have confirmed that defender Marlon Santos will return to Barcelona after his two-year loan deal was terminated early.

The Ligue 1 side, who have just named Patrick Vieira as their new manager, confirmed the news on their official website.

Marlon made 27 appearances for the club in all competitions last season as the team finished in eighth place.

The defender has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham United, and the news from Nice suggests he’s set for a permanent move away from Barca this summer.
