Inter Milan are eyeing the midfielder apparently

Ivan Rakitic has made it known recently that he wishes to stay at Barcelona. Contact negotiations have been taking place in the last few months with transfer rumors coming daily for the midfielder, especially since the summer arrival of Frenkie de Jong was announced.

Most of the rumors have surrounded Premier League clubs, including Chelsea. The most recent rumor paints the picture that Inter Milan are readying the banks to come and grab Rakitic from Barcelona. The term “break the bank” was included in the report, so we know Milan are willing to spend a decent amount.

The move would probably be a great one for Barcelona, if the transfer could be pulled off before his contract expires. They could sell high on Rakitic’s play and take advantage of the desperation that surrounds Inter on a regular basis.
