Frenkie de Jong asks to leave Ajax - report

Frenkie de Jong has reportedly asked to leave Ajax after the club sold Justin Kluivert to Roma.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Kluivert’s exit has seen De Jong and Matthijs de Ligt also press for an exit.

Barcelona are keen to sign the midfielder this summer but the latest reports suggested they had been told by Ajax that he simply is not for sale.

MD reckon that Barcelona are well-placed to sign De Jong but Ajax are aware of interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City and will use that to drive up the price.
