Jovic has ‘no interest’ in Barca move, says father
The striker is worried about game time
In this edition of sports parents speaking out, Eintracht Frankfurt forward Luka Jovic’s father came out this week and spoke about his son’s future. The striker has been rumored to be a possibility for Barcelona this summer, amid interest from Real Madrid and large English clubs.
“Luka has enquiries. The ones from Barcelona are there. But he has no interest. He doesn’t know if he can play football there. He wants to be in the Champions League with Eintracht and stay in Frankfurt.”
Currently, Frankfurt are sitting four points ahead in the fourth spot of the Bundesliga, so the possibility of Jovic getting Champions League experience under his belt while staying at Frankfurt is possible.
However, as is the case with all sports parents, you have to wonder if these comments truly reflect the views of the player. When Barcelona come calling with a hefty contract, we’ll see how badly Jovic wishes to stay at Frankfurt.
