Messi offers his view on Barca’s Griezmann pursuit

Lionel Messi has been asked all about Barcelona’s attempts to sign Antoine Griezmann and sounds like he’d be pretty happy to have the Frenchman around.

A deal is far from done with Griezmann still apparently wondering whether to stay at Atletico Madrid or head to the Camp Nou.

However, Messi reckons if he did swap clubs it would be a good thing for Barcelona.

“I always said it. With the good players it is easy to understand each other and Griezmann is one of the great players who is going through an exceptional moment in his career.

“Griezmann is not a 100% Barça player but obviously the more quality we have the better.

“We want to be the best team in the world so we want to get the best players in the world and then it’s the boss’ problem.”
