Real Betis respond to rumors linking Fabian with Barca

Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz has found his name in the gossip columns recently with Barcelona one of several clubs linked with a summer move.

The club have enjoyed a brilliant campaign under Quique Setien and will play in Europe next season after qualifying for the Europa League at the weekend.

Fabian has made 31 appearances for Betis, scoring three and contributing six assists, and club president Angel Haro has spoken about rumoured interest in the 22-year-old.

“Barcelona interest in Fabián? There has been nothing with Barcelona. We want the player to be focused and we want him to continue at Betis.”

This summer promises to be another intriguing one in the transfer market with Barca expected to wave goodbye to quite a few players.

The club are also expected to spend big on Antoine Griezmann, as well as complete a deal for Arthur, and if they do it may leave little funds left for any other arrivals.
