Barça squad named for Levante trip

Ernesto Valverde has called up 18 players for the final road trip of the season

The next Barcelona match is upon us! The champions will play an away game in La Liga for the final time this season when they visit Levante on Sunday night, and Ernesto Valverde has called up 18 players for the trip to València.

This is the full squad:

Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 13. Jasper Cillessen

Defenders: 2. Nélson Semedo, 3. Gerard Piqué, 18. Jordi Alba, 19. Lucas Digne, 24. Yerry Mina, 25. Thomas Vermaelen

Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 5. Sergio Busquets, 6. Denis Suarez, 8. Andrés Iniesta, 14. Philippe Coutinho, 15. Paulinho Bezerra, 21. André Gomes

Forwards: 9. Luis Suárez, 11. Ousmane Dembélé, 17. Paco Alcácer

Sergi Roberto continues his extended suspension for a red card against Real Madrid, and Samuel Umtiti misses out once again due to a minor knee issue. Aleix Vidal is out per the manager’s decision as usual, but the big surprise comes in the form of Lionel Messi getting a night off, which is definitely understandable at this point of this season but is still a little shocking since this is Messi.

Predicted starting XI (4-4-2):

Ter Stegen; Semedo, Mina, Vermaelen, Alba; Dembélé, Paulinho, Rakitic, Coutinho; Suárez, Alcácer

The match kicks off at 8.45pm CET (Barcelona), 7.45pm GMT/WAT (UK & Nigeria), 2.45pm EST, 11.45am PST (USA), 12.15am IST (India, next day), and you can join us to follow and comment all the action.
