Griezmann reveals he is in talks with Atletico over future

Atletico Madrid had an interesting day on Thursday. First they inked a 1-1 draw with Arsenal in the Europa League, after a late Antoine Griezmann goal to seal the draw. But for the long-term success of the club perhaps the more interesting event took place after the match. Star French striker Griezmann decided to disclose that he and his representatives were speaking to Atletico Madrid about Griezmann’s future at the club.

The speculation has long been that Griezmann will potentially leave the club for Barcelona or perhaps the Premier League. Griezmann opening up about the move is probably good news for whichever side you sit on. If you wish for him to stay at Atletico, take comfort in the second statement.
