Dembele is a ‘bit inaccessible, even incomprehensible’ - former coach

A former coach of Ousmane Dembele has been talking about the Barcelona star and, well he’s come up with a few interesting comments to say the least.

Rolland Curbs, who coached Dembele for six month at Rennes, seems to suggest he can be dificult to work with, although he admits he certainly has the talent.

“I would be tempted to say he’s a bit inaccessible, even incomprehensible,” he said.

“I set up to put him in what i think is his best position, the nine and a half. Something like Mbappe in Monaco with Falcao, although at Rennes he didn’t have Luis Suarez, Messi or Iniesta there.

“He has the quality to triumph, but consistency…

“He came from a serious injury but I hope he stays fit from now until the end of the season, that way he can go to the World Cup and the season would serve for something. The only good thing about the injury is that he can be fit for the World Cup.”

It’s been a tough start to life at Barca for Dembele, largely due to injury. However, he hit a memorable first goal against Chelsea and hopefully will have a few more moments of magic before the season’s out.
