Supercopa de Catalunya provides Barca with a chance for rotation

Barcelona play in the Supercopa de Catalunya on Wednesday in what is a great chance for some squad rotation. An eye roll or two can always be deployed to matchups that take time and effort out of a squad during an important stretch in their season, but Ernesto Valverde seems to have a good chance in front of him to switch things up a bit.

A few of the players that would benefit from a start and some quality playing time this week are the likes of Denis Suarez, Yerry Mina, and Ousmane Dembele who are all apparently in the squad. Giving some of these guys some needed time on the pitch is what makes games like the Supercopa de Catalunya not a complete waste of time for Barcelona.

Jasper Cillessen, Paco Alcacer, Lucas Digne, Andre Gomes and Aleix Vidal are also available for the match and will hope to impress, according to Marca.

Meanwhile, Ernesto Valverde will rest Ter Stegen, Gerard Pique, Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Luis Suarez, Leo Messi, Philippe Coutinho, Paulinho, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto, Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen.
