Zlatan Ibrahimović previews Barcelona-Manchester United

The Swedish legend played for both teams

Zlatan Ibrahimović has weighed in on the UEFA Champions League clash between two teams he once was a part of: Barcelona and Manchester United.

“It will be a very interesting game, two big teams, two big clubs playing against each other. Both clubs with great history, and it will be exciting to see the fantastic players in each team. Let’s see who will be the strongest for the day,” Ibra said.

He highlighted one player for each team that he believes will make the difference: “Obviously you have [Lionel] Messi, he makes the difference every game he plays, it’s no secret. United, you have [Paul] Pogba making the difference there. It will be a battle between Messi and Pogba, even if it’s a collective sport. In these games it’s all about the team, not an individual player, but these are the players that make the difference.”

Ibrahimović played one season with Barcelona, winning La Liga and other titles in the process.

“My best memory with Barça was that it was the best team in the world,” he recalled. “Everywhere we came, everywhere we went, people had so much respect for the team, and you enjoyed playing in the team. You had that feeling that you would win the game, even if you weren’t performing on top, because the team was so strong, so... great memories.”

Ibra also played around a season and a half for United before making his way to his current club, LA Galaxy.
