How did Barca stars fare in Friday’s friendlies?

Luis Suarez scores 50th international goal against Czech Republic
Friday was a good day for Luis Suarez who scored his 50th international goal in a 2-0 win over Czech Republic in the China Cup (no I have no idea what that is either).
The Barcelona man netted from the penalty spot and had a hand in the second goal as Edinson Cavani made the game safe.
Suarez lasted 79 minutes before being replaced and will be in action in the final of the China Cup on Monday against Wales.
Paulinho and Coutinho on target for Brazil
Barcelona also had Paulinho and Philippe Coutinho in action as both started Brazil’s win over World Cup hosts Russia.
Paulinho missed a few chances in the first half but did win the penalty after the break and Coutinho sent the goalkeeper the wrong way for his ninth international goal.
It then got even better for Paulinho as he headed home completely unmarked after a brilliant ball in from Willian.
An assist for Iniesta
Over in Dusseldorf Barcelona had Andres Iniesta, Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba on show as they faced Germany and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Iniesta took just six minutes to show his quality as he slid in a brilliant pass for Rodrigo to open the scoring. It was a fine display by the midfielder who was given a deserved breather at half-time.
Pique also seemed to come through the match unscathed despite continued worried about his knee injury and Spain face Argentina on Tuesday.
Yerry Mina’s Colombia beat Frace
France and Colombia enjoyed a bit of a thriller with the visitors coming back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 in Paris.
Lucas Digne played a big part in France’s first goal as the hosts had the better of it before Colombia came roaring back. Samuel Umtiti was the villain for France as he conceded a late penalty from which Quintero scored the winner - although it looked really harsh call.
Umtiti played the whole match, as did Yerry Mina while Ousmane Dembele was given 24 minutes and Digne was replaced towards the end.
Messi misses out and Gomes features for Portual
Elsewhere Lionel Messi missed Argentina’s win over Italy due to injury but said he hopes to play in Tuesday’s clash with Spain. Andre Gomes was left on the bench by Portugal but arrived on the hour mark as they recovered from going 1-0 down to win 2-1 thanks to two stoppage time goals from Cristiano Ronaldo.
