Umtiti talks future, Man Utd interest and Griezmann to Barca
Samuel Umtiti has given a pretty interesting interview to French television where he was asked about his future, interest from Manchester United and French team-mate Antoine Griezmann possibly moving to the Camp Nou.
Although Umtiti didn’t given too much away he certainly does not sound like a man agitating for a transfer away and seems pretty happy at Barca.
“Negotiations for a contract renewal have not started yet. My release clause is low, but that’s not what I worry about, I focus on the pitch,” he said.
“It’s not only Manchester United, other clubs want me as well, but my sole focus is on Barcelona.”
“It was my dream to play at Barça. And I achieved it when I was just 22. I’m very happy here, whenever I play and whenever I train.”

Umtiti also talked about how the Remontada against PSG is the highlight of his career but also interestingly spoke about his compatriot Griezmann who has been heavily linked with a move to Barca.
“Griezmann to Barça? I am an agent now? (laughs). Yes, we did talk about it,” he added.
“I asked Griezmann what he thought of Barça and everything about the club. As any other player, he said only good things.
“All players at the level of Antoine dream of playing here. If Griezmann comes, we will have to play with six attackers!”

The defender’s future looks set to dominate the headlines for a while yet, with speculation claiming he wants a far bigger contract than Barcelona are prepared to offer.
Some reports have already turned their attentions to who Barcelona could look to replace Umtiti with but hopefully the club can get him tied down to a new and improve deal.
